History

On April 13, 1985, a group of ministers' wives met at the home of Sister Brenda Brydie.  During this time of fellowship, a discussion arose regarding the need to form a women's alliance for the purpose of supporting one another, fellowshipping, and learning to serve as a community outreach during times of sickness, distress, and other difficult seasons of life.  Sister Brydie was our founding President.

The vision and purpose of this organization then and now, continue to be:  preparing members of the coalition for more effective service in the upbuilding of God's Kingdom; uniting ministers' wives and ministers' widows of various denominations into Christian fellowship to continue our April 1986 affiliation with the State of Georgia Ministers' Wives and Ministers' Widows organization (organized since 1963.  This coalition has acquired first place status in various categories for thirty-four (34) years.  Our group is also connected with the International Association of Ministers' Wives and Ministers' Widows, Inc. (organized since 1954) to support the sisterhood emotionally, physically, and socially; to foster a fellowship among sisters and church families; and to be an outreach ministry to churches community and non-profit organizations.
