Module I: Honoring the Temple

101- Introduction to Sisterhood - Getting to Know My Sisters & Our Organization

 

This course is designed for those new to the sisterhood or those desiring a refresher.  This course focuses on gaining knowledge of the ministers’ wives and ministers’ widows organizational principles and practices and its history.  The course covers the organizational structure, its mission and purpose; and specifics unique to the organization.  It also focuses on the meaning of sisterhood and identifies characteristics necessary to have an effective unity and harmony among sisters.

 

102- Effectively Navigating the It’s of Life

 

This course is designed to look at the “It’s of Life”.  The course covers the necessity to ensure that important documents and information is readily available and organized in a way that helps our loved ones in the final stages of our lives.  The course also addresses methods to navigating during family crises such as the death of a loved one, dealing with mental health issues, addressing financial problems, critical illnesses and other life challenges within the family.  

 

103- Women in Ministry Leading with Spiritual Power

 

This course teaches the values, ethics and essentials of Christian concepts for effective leadership in women’s ministry from a local, community and global perspective.   It also focuses on the importance of being led by the Holy Spirit when leading others.

Module II: Minding the Ministry

201- Counseling as a Ministry

 

This course provides basic ways in which a ministers’ wife or ministers’ widow can effectively communicate in their families, the community, and in civic and religious organizations through counseling and gives techniques for giving guidance in areas within one’s own limitations from a biblical perspective.     

 

202- Transitioning from Generation to Generation

 

This course focuses on the techniques and methodologies needed to bridge the gap from one generation to another.  This course is designed to reach across the age spectrum and align the ministers’ wives and ministers’ widows of all ages with today’s information technology, current events, and topics that are relevant to today’s families.

 

203- Prayer, Praise, Worship - The Weapons of Warfare

 

This course explores ways to effectively fight against the tactics of the enemy by keeping on the spiritual PPE (Prayer, Praise, and Exaltation) at all times.
