Assistant Dean of Education

First Lady Eunice Shinn

​

First Lady Eunice Shinn is the appointed Assistant to the Dean of Education.  Lady Shinn previously served in the Department of Education as the Education Director for the past eight years.  She has sought to be a vital part of the operation and movement of the Georgia Association of Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows for over 30 years. Assistant Dean Shinn was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and currently resides in Conyers, Georgia.   She is a graduate of the Booker T. Washington Business College and earned an Associate Degree in Business.  She also attended the University of Alabama – Birmingham, where she studied Business Administration.    

In addition to the above, she was a member of the Decatur Chapter of MWMW for 10 years, where she served as Secretary for over eight years.  She has been a member of the Aide Chapter of MWMW for 30 years. She has held positions with the Aide Chapter for the past 16 years including Secretary and, currently, Chapter President since 2019 and again in 2025.  She is faithful in her service, leadership, dedication and commitment to her local chapter, the GAMWMW, the SE Region and the International Association of Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows, Incorporated.  She was awarded the GAMWMW Outstanding Leadership Award in 2021.

Assistant Dean Shinn is currently employed with Emory University School of Medicine as a Coordinator for the Master of Medical Science Program in Anesthesiology.  She works with department faculty, staff and students.  She enjoys using her skills in planning, organizing, and negotiating. Two of her primary job responsibilities consist of hosting Emory’s annual graduation ceremony along with coordinating and hosting their annual white coat ceremony.

Lady Shinn serves faithfully with her husband in ministry.  She is married to Pastor Michael A. Shinn, Pastor of New World Harvest Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia.  Lady Shinn is the organizer and founder of the Sisters of Strength (SOS) Ministry at New World Harvest Church.  She serves as the spiritual advisor for their Ushers’ Ministry.   She is the proud mother of one son, Cameron. 

Her skills include planning, organization, and administrative oversight.  She is driven by strong personal relations, perseverance, and is highly motivated.  She is excited and looking forward to working with GAMWMW and the new Administration to further the objectives of the organization.
